Velma Louise  Mounger
Velma Louise Mounger, age 81 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta.

Velma was born Monday, December 31, 1934 in Van Buren County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Robert King and Jessie Watson King.

Granny Velma was a member of the Welchland Baptist Church.

Velma is survived by her:
3 daughters - Shirley Simmons and husband AR
Peggie Blair and husband Randall
Marilyn Potter and Bobie Fowler
11 grandchildren
23 great grandchildren
1 great great grandchild
sister-in-law - Clata Ruth King
several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her husband Tom Mounger, son Jerry Whitworth, brother Willard King, and a sister Ola King,

A Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Saturday at Spencer Funeral Home with Darrell Nance, and David Carden officiating. Interment will be in Shockley Cemetery, Spencer, TN.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM on Friday, October 7, 2016, and Saturday from 8 to 11 AM at Spencer Funeral Home, 16000 Hwy 111 N., Spencer, Tennessee.
