Roy Cecil "RC" Hodges, age 70 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee.

RC was born Saturday, February 9, 1946 in Sparta, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Raymond Hodges and Bessie Cruise Hodges.

RC is survived by his:
wife - Bobbie Gatlin Hodges
2 sons - Duane Hodges
Michael Simmons and wife Leslie
2 daughters - Shelia Hodges
Amanda Songer and husband Jacob
6 grandchildren - Madeline Hodges, Devin Songer, TJ Songer, Gabe Songer, Amy Simmons and Eli Simmons
sister Judy Mooneyham and husband Daniel
special brother - Buckshot Cunningham
many nieces, nephews, cousins, the breakfast club and many special friends and neighbors also survive.

In addition to his parents, RC was preceded in death by 3 brothers Charles Leonard Hodges, James Cruise, and Robert Hodges, 1 sister Emma Womack

A Funeral service will be at 1 PM on Friday at Spencer Funeral Home with Wayne Sullivan and Clayton Keener officiating. Interment will be in the Hodges Cemetery, Spencer, TN.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 and Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM, at the Spencer Funeral Home, 16000 Hwy 111 N., Spencer, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hodges Cemetery Care fund in honor of RC. Donations can be made at the Spencer Funeral Home for the Cemetery.
