Myrtle Flowers Hale, age 100 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Highlands Medical Hospital in Sparta, Tennessee.

Myrtle was born Saturday, May 5, 1917 in Sparta, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late William Simmons and the late Bessie Carter Simmons.

Myrtle is survived her:
three children - Juanita Harding and husband Fredrick
Leonard Hale and wife Lillie
Delilah McCarver
three children-in-laws - Billy Wheeler, Sharon Hale, and Margaret Hale
grandchildren - Tracy Stafford, Destiny Guy, Whitney Hale, Cody and Debrina McCarver, Darlisa Hale, Houston Ray Hale, Sherry Wilson, Marlene Grissom, Michelle Hitchcock, Jacqueline Hale Greene, Melodie Hale, Japheth Harding, LaNada Harding, and Heather Hayes
30 great grandchildren
14 great great grandchildren
sister Claudia Mitchell
many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Hale, 5 children Bettye Hale, Houston Hale, Selva Wheeler, Hubert Hale, and Willie Hale son-in-law Bill McCarver, granddaughter Teresa Tanner, 2 grandsons Josh Harding, Mark Hale, daughter-in-law Delores Hale

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Spencer Funeral Home with Dr. Fredrick "Freddie" Harding and Rev. Michael Harris officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Town Cemetery, Spencer, TN.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 and again Wednesday from 8 AM 1 PM, at Spencer Funeral Home, 16000 Hwy 111 N., Spencer, Tennessee.
