Obituary for Lorene Clendenon
Lorene Clendenon, age 93 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Lorene was born Monday, May 22, 1922 in Spencer, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Shockley and Cleo Wilson Shockley.
She was a former garment factory worker, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and cherished wife.
Lorene is survived by her;
husband of 67 years Jewell Clendenon of Spencer
daughter - Wilma Montandon and husband Bill of Sparta
2 sisters - Clata Redmond of Doyle and Kathleen Sullivan of Spencer
2 grandsons - Matt Montandon and wife Victoria of Sparta
Michael Montandon and wife Leesa of Cookeville
2 great-grandchildren - Keshia Ashton and husband Josh of Spencer
Luke Montandon of Minot, North Dakota
1 great great grandon - Brian Lynn Ashton of Spencer
several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great great-nieces and nephews, and friends also survive.
In addition to her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by 2 sisters Charlie Mae Walling and Delma Shockley and 2 brothers James Shockley and Loyd Shockley.
A Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday at Spencer Funeral Home with Bill Montandon and Bobby Wilhite officiating. Interment will be in Molloy Cemetery, Spencer, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, and again Wednesday from 8 to 11AM at Spencer Funeral Home.
