Obituary for Larry James White
Larry James White, age 73, of Bone Cave, Tennessee (formally from Vermilion, Ohio), went to his eternal home on April 11th, 2021. Larry suffered a stroke at home and was taken to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before passing.
Larry was born on July 23rd, 1947, in Bone Cave, Tennessee, and moved to Painesville, Ohio, with his family as a child. Larry married Doris Jean White (Brady) June 10th, 1967, in Painesville, Ohio, and moved to Vermilion, Ohio, when he began to work at Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio. Larry was a Committeeman most of his employment with Ford. Larry also worked for the Vermilion Fire Department and retired as Captain in 1997, the same year he retired from Ford. Larry was a member of the Stonington Lodge No. 503 in Amherst, Ohio, and obtained the rank of a 32nd-degree master mason. Larry was a member of the Vermilion Church of God of Prophecy. Larry and his wife, Doris, moved to Bone Cave, Tennessee, after purchasing the house Larry was born in Tennessee, Larry became Chief of the Cedar Grove Fire Department, EMA Director of Van Buren County, and member of the Spencer Church of God of Prophecy.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, John Bidge White, mother, Vernon White (McCoy), sister, Elizabeth Louise Patrick (White), and sister, Medwynn Faye Carder (White). Larry is survived by his wife, Doris Jean White (Brady), son, Larry James White, Jr. (Jim); daughter, Melissa Kathryn White (Kathy), granddaughter, Cassidy Jean Frady, and grandson, T.J. Frady, son; John Robert White (Anya), grandson Robert Michael White, and granddaughter Anastasia Nicole White; son, Martin Mason White (Melissa), and granddaughter Brittany Marie Jones (Matt) with great granddaughter Emma Harper Jones, grandson Matthew Mason White and granddaughter Elizabeth Faith White; stepson, William Gene McNabb, brother, Arlynn Bidge White, sister, Johnny Carole White (Jerry), and many friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Spencer Funeral Home. Larry will be laid to rest at the Laurel Creek Cemetery in Bone Cave, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and again Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at the Spencer Funeral Home.
