Jewell Clendenen, age 91 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at his home in Spencer, Tennessee.

Jewell was born Sunday, October 4, 1925 to the late Loyd and Eula Hitchcock Clendenen .

Jewell worked in the timber industry, trucking industry and factory industry. He also had been the proprietor of the Feed Store in Spencer Tennessee for several years.

Surviving are daughter, Wilma Montandon and husband Bill of Sparta TN, 2 sisters, Ruby DeCoursey of Mt. Juliet TN and Juanita Shockley of Spencer TN, 2 brothers, Loyd and wife Shirley Clendenen Jr. of Spencer, TN, Cleston and wife Audrey Clendenen of Spencer, TN, sister-in-law, Rozella Clendenen of Spencer, TN and Clata Redmon of Doyle TN.
2 grandsons, Matt Montandon and wife Victoria of Sparta, TN, and Michael Montandon and wife Leesa of Cookville, TN.
2 great-grandchildren, Keshia Ashton and husband Josh of Spencer, TN and Luke Montandon of Minot, North Dakota.
1 great great grandson, Brian Lynn Ashton of Spencer, TN.
Several nieces, nephews, great nephews and nieces, great great-nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.

Jewell is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Lorene Clendenen, parents, Loyd and Eula Hitchcock Clendenen brothers, Milton Clendenen and Harold Clendenen, and sisters, Hazel Shockley, Martha Hale, Francis Sullivan, Betty Keener and Clata Ray Clendenen.

The family will receive friends fromSeptember 8, 2017 from 5.00 PM to 8.00 PM also Saturday September 9, 2017 from 8.00 AM to 11.00 AM the time of the service at the Spencer Fuberal Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Jewell Clendenen will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 11.00 AM at The Spencer Funeral Home with Bill Montandon and William Shockley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Molloy Cemetery, in Spencer, TN.
