Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Hillis
Elizabeth Ann Hillis, age 87 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Elizabeth was born Monday, September 16, 1929 in Bone Cave, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Bill Measles and Amanda Simmons Measles.
Elizabeth is survived by her:
sons - Darrell Hillis and wife Brenda of Spencer
Nolan Hillis and wife Jackie of Quebeck
3 grandchildren - Travis Hillis and wife Julie of Spencer
DeVon Smith and husband Jeff of Double Springs
Ashley Floyd and Greg of Sparta
6 great grandchildren - Tanner Hillis, Chloe Hillis, Aubree Owen, Jackson Smith, Halle Floyd, and Blane Floyd
many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Hillis, son Barry Hillis, grandson Kaleb Hillis, 5 sisters Lois Measles, Lyla Sparkman, Clata Hodges, Willene Vance, Roberta Hodges, 2 brothers Clifford and Robert Measles.
A Funeral service will be at 1 PM on Tuesday at Spencer Funeral Home with Bob McCoy officiating . Interment will be in Molloy Cemetery, Spencer, TN.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM on Monday, November 7, 2016, and Tuesday from 8 AM to 1 PM at Spencer Funeral Home, 16000 Hwy 111 N., Spencer, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers the family has ask donations be made to the Spencer Senior Center. Donations can be made at the funeral home.
