Earnest Gene Manus, age 80 of Spencer, TN passed from this life on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at his home.

Earnest was born Monday, February 11, 1935 in Spencer, TN. He was the son of the late Revedy Manus and Goldie Prater Manus.

Earnest is survived by his:
daughter - Peggy Mooneyham and husband Bethel of Spencer
2 sons - Darrell Manus and wife Shina of Spencer
Roger Steven Manus and wife Anita of Sparta
9 grandchildren - Michael Manus, Cheyenne, Sherman, Kayden, and Peyton Mooneyham, Jeremiah, Dianna, Roger, and Jonathan Manus
10 great grandchildren
3 step-great grandchildren
sister Tennie Yates

In addition to his parents, Earnest was preceded in death by his wife Lella Inez Manus, 3 brothers Jack Manus, Joe Manus, and Andrew Manus, 5 sisters Dovie Simmons, Annie Simmons, Betty Wilson, Roberta Jernigan, and a baby sister that passed at birth.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 PM on Sunday at Spencer Funeral Home with Wayne Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Town Cemetery, Spencer, TN.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Spencer Funeral Home, 16000 Hwy 111 N., Spencer, Tennessee.
