Carl Rufus Rogers, age 83 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, August 4, 2017, at his home.
Carl was born Monday, February 19, 1934 in Spencer, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Dan Rogers and Mary Davis Rogers.
Carl is survived by his:
wife - Jo Ann Brock Rogers
daughter - Cyntha Walker
3 sons - Jody Lynn Rogers
Carl Wayne Rogers
Darrel Rogers
3 grandchildren - Julie Tempton, Adam Parks, and Dylan Rogers
6 great grandchildren
2 brothers - Truman Rogers
LB Rogers
2 sisters - Bobbie Overbee
Elizabeth Davis
several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by a daughter Freda Rogers, 4 brothers Junier Rogers, Tom Rogers, Charles Rogers and Jim Rogers 5 sisters Evelyn Russell, Margaret Keener, Dovie Findley, Mattie Prater, and Katie Snodgrass.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday at Spencer Funeral Home with David Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Shockley Cemetery, Spencer, TN.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2017, and again Monday from 8 AM to 1 PM at Spencer Funeral Home, 16000 Hwy 111 N., Spencer, Tennessee.
