Dorothy Ann Carmack Cope, age 93 of Spencer, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, Tennessee.
Dorothy was born Friday, June 11, 1926 in Spencer, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Vernatus Bilbrey Carmack and the late Cordelia Davis Carmack.
Dorothy is survived by her:
sons - Harold Leland Cope and wife Carolyn
Floyd Glenn Cope and wife Fatima
6 grandchildren - Angela Epperson, Thadeus Glenn Cope, Johnathon Cope, Milenda Epperson, Holly Jean Cope Pasley and Andrew Jovon Cope
many great grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband James Leland Cope, two daughters Gloria Jean Cope and Kathleen Cope Epperson, grandson Nathan Cope, great grandson Jeffery Pasley; seven sisters and brothers - Zella Curtis, Stella Burks, Elmer Carmack, Lester Carmack, Ruth Kennerly, Bobbie Hall, and Gertrude Krupa.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Spencer Funeral Home located at 16000 Hwy 111 N. Spencer, Tennessee 38585 with Ricky Burks and Jamie McCormack officiating. Interment will be in Shockley Cemetery, Spencer, TN.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Spencer Funeral Home, 16000 Hwy 111 N., Spencer, Tennessee.
Dorothy asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Shockley Cemetery Care Fund in her honor.
